Nurse Jamie Reviews Automatic Face Brushes for EXTRA

On this week's Extra Nurse Jamie talks to Fairly Legal's Sarah Shahi about one of the hottest beauty gadgets around -- the automatic face brush. It is really important to properly clean your skin -- you can improve the texture, clarity, and long-term health of your skin by using the right cleansing products and techniques. Proper cleansing will remove dead surface skin cells, dirt and dust, sebum or oil, make-up and bacteria which can clog pores and will also stimulate circulation and prepare the skin to receive topically applied nutrients. Brushes will get your skin cleaner -- some claim up to 10X cleaner than just washing with your hands. The one that started the trend is the Clarisonic. It was invented by the people that make the Sonic Care toothbrush and it works by vibrating at - more than 300 movements per second. It claims to remove 6X more makeup and 2X more dirt and oil than cleansing with your hands alone. Nurse Jamie calls the Clarisonic "the Cadillac of face brushes." but it is $200 -- with a smaller version that retails around $150. This is the Olay Pro-X. You can get it at most drugstores for around $30 -- and does a pretty good job. It cleans with a brush that spins -- the clarisonic vibrates, it does a really great job. It also removes about 6x more make up than plain hand washing. It has 2 speeds and is battery powered.
